ABOUT TIKVAT HA SHANI

WHATS IN A NAME!
TIKVAT HA SHANI is taken from Joshua 2:21, meaning the “scarlet cord”, so it is literally ‘a cord of hope’, as is the Name of the Lord.

TIKVAH: in Hebrew means “hope”, but in this reference it is literally the word for “cord”. SHANI: is the color “scarlet”, this was one of the three main colors commanded for decorative use in the Temple: blue, purple and scarlet (shani)

Also we believe the Lord has gifted our hands to do “artistic works”:
to bless others, and to blessed through our works:

“All the women who were gifted artisans,

spun yarn with their hands, they brought what they had spun

of blue, purple and scarlet (shani) yarn and fine linen”

Exodus 35:25.

Most of our banners are designed simply with the Name of the LORD: YAHWEH, YESHUA, or ADONAI. Our vision is that as people literally “look” upon the Name of the LORD, they will be reminded that He is always a “strong tower” for them to run into for safety … He is to each one of us a “tikvat ha shani” (cord of hope)

“The Name of the LORD is a strong tower;

the righteous run to it and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10
